Read on to find out how!What You're Applying For:Edmunds is looking for a full-stack Senior Software Engineer to join our Dealer Product and Innovation portfolio. Our Dealer Widgets team drives engagement with strategic partners both online and in person to make the car buying process less daunting for consumers, and provides technical expertise for partner integrations in the rapidly-growing automotive ecommerce space. As a member of the Dealer Widgets team, you'll have an impact on making online car shopping easier by building solutions that empower dealer partners and car shoppers to make smart decisions based on accurate and unbiased Edmunds data.What You'll Do:Work closely with software engineers and product managers to build/maintain/support:Accessible and engaging interfaces using vanilla JavaScript and modern JavaScript frameworksReliable and observable processes/tools using Python, Node.js and AWS LambdasNimble and performant APIs using Node.js, Java and noSQL DBsThoughtful and cost-effective integrations with strategic partnersPractice sustainable incident response and blameless postmortemsPractice collective code ownership and mutually-beneficial code reviewsWhat You'll Need:Experience working closely with software engineers, product managers and strategic partners to design and document APIs, data stores and tools that will evolve over timeExperience delivering maintainable APIs written in Node.js and Java, backed by noSQL data stores like DynamoDB and MongoDBExperience working closely with front-end developers to ensure APIs are compatible with products built using modern JavaScript application frameworksExperience delivering maintainable client-side JavaScript code compatible with all major browsersWillingness to learn and work in all levels of the technology stackNice To Haves:Experience delivering bulk processing tools written in Python and Node.jsExperience with DevOps, ideally in AWS using CloudFormationExperience with Databricks, ideally using PythonExperience writing unit and e2e tests to support CD/CI pipelinesExperience writing code to implement client-side AB test experimentsFamiliarity with web markup including HTML5, CSS3, and server-side preprocessing such as SASSFamiliarity with ES6 JavaScript and at least one modern UI framework like React, Vue or AngularFamiliarity with HTML4 and vanilla ES5 JavaScriptFamiliarity with third party JavaScript SDKs like Google Tag ManagerThe compensation range for this position is $137,000-$189,000 per year. The base pay will take into account internal equity as well as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
