📋 Description
• Build systems powering route planning, optimization, dispatch, and real-time tracking for fleets across logistics, field services, and delivery
• Work across the stack to improve dispatcher tools, driver experiences, and scalable backend APIs that handle geospatial and real-time data at scale
• Partner with design, product, and mobile to ship reliable, performant features
• Technologies: Golang backend, Typescript and React web client, GraphQL, React Native mobile (direct experience not required)
• Develop core services for route creation, optimization, live tracking, and reporting with a 99.9%+ SLA
• Build web applications for dispatchers to create, assign, and monitor routes in real time
• Create APIs and integrations with TMS/ERP systems that process millions of route events
• Develop driver-facing commercial navigation features and AI-assisted workflows like contextual rerouting and predictive alerts
• Champion and embed Samsara's cultural principles as the team scales globally

🎯 Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent practical experience
• 4+ years of relevant industry experience in software development
• Strong programming/coding fundamentals
• Experience designing and architecting large, high-scale systems
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills; ability to manage technical discussions
• Ability to estimate, communicate, and deliver project milestones
• Demonstrated experience in routing, dispatch and navigation systems (ideal)
• History of driving significant customer value and shipping customer-used features (ideal)
• Proactive growth mindset and ability to iterate based on customer feedback (ideal)
