You thrive in innovative and evolving environments with high rates of change.Your RoleAs a Senior Data Engineer with Evergreen Nephrology, you are responsible for designing and scaling our Databricks-based data platform. This is a hands-on and strategic role responsible for building robust data pipelines, modeling multi-source data (claims, EMR/EHR, HIE, HIN), and implementing governance, quality, and lineage frameworks. The ideal candidate is an experienced engineer with strong skills in SQL, Python, Databricks and health care data modeling who can lead technical decisions, mentor the team, and partner with business and analytics stakeholders to deliver a secure and scalable platform that enables advanced analytics and AI.Role ResponsibilitiesArchitect, develop, and maintain Databricks-based data pipelines to integrate healthcare data (claims, clinical, operational)Design and implement scalable data models and subject-area data martsImplement data quality, lineage, security, and compliance frameworksOptimize platform performance, reliability, and cost efficiencyMentor and guide data engineers, setting coding standards and best practicesCollaborate with analytics, product, and business teams to deliver data solutionsOther duties consistent with this role, as assigned.Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other quantitative discipline8 years of technology experience5 years of data experience within the healthcare industryProven experience designing and building data pipelines on DatabricksStrong expertise in SQL and Python for data transformations, validation, and automationDeep understanding of data modeling techniques, best practices, and specifics of healthcare dataExperience integrating healthcare data sources such as claims, EMR/EHR, and HIE feedsFHIR knowledge preferredKnowledge of data governance, lineage, security, and HIPAA compliance requirementsAbility to optimize performance, scalability, and cost efficiencyExperience mentoring engineers and establishing coding and architecture standardsStrong collaboration skills to work with analytics, product, and business stakeholdersExcellent problem-solving skills and ability to translate business needs into technical solutionsIntermediate skills with MS Office Suite of products including Outlook and TeamsAble to work effectively in a primarily remote environment: Home internet must support a minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps. Cable, Fiber, or DSL connections hardwired to the internet device are recommendedEvergreen will provide remote employees with telephony applications and equipment to meet the business requirements for their roleEmployees must work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA informationCompensationThe pay range for this role is $100,000 to $130,000 annually.
