Job Description: What is your role? As a Back-end Engineer for Eleventh Hour Games, you'll be responsible for a wide range of tasks across many parts of Last Epoch's back-end services. This includes new feature development, debugging, and optimization for player data, chat and other key online services. You will be encouraged to use your experience and expertise to provide innovative solutions and drive best practices across the back-end team. The perfect candidate has excellent communication skills, and autonomy as you will be working with a fully remote team.Qualifications:5+ years of developing/supporting online services, 2+ years within a gaming studio role Demonstrable command of C# or similar languageExperience with cloud providers (Azure specifically a plus)Experience working on a live service with a regular release cadenceExperience in back-end service development for online gamesPluses:Familiarity with multiplayer online games and ARPGs in particularExperience with UnityResponsibilities:Develop online game features such as in-game economy, leaderboards, and matchmakingDiagnose and fix issues in live game servicesDeploy multiple backend servicesExpectation of weekly on-call rotation for emergency service notifications (Pager Duty)Why Eleventh Hour Games?EHG is a fast growing studio, focused on a passion for top-down action RPGs. We value open communication, close-knit teamwork, and opportunity for ownership and growth! Our mission is to gather and empower the next generation of creators to forge extraordinary games.
