Further information can be found at www.man.com* As at 30 September 2025Algo Research TeamAlgo Research team is responsible for alpha research across a wide range of time-scales (from high-frequency up to ~48 hours), design of monetization/execution algos and market impact modelling across all major asset classes (including Cash Equities, Futures, FX, Options). We work in close collaboration with various systematic research teams across Man Group to maximise realized P&L of strategies. Algo Research is one of the key focus areas for Man.We are looking for a Quantitative Researcher with a primary focus on Cash Equities whose responsibilities will include:Creating high quality intraday predictive alpha signals in cash equities, from order book and alternative datasetsApplying ML techniques to alpha researchIn-depth market impact modellingSolving optimal execution optimization problemsIdentifying highest P&L opportunitiesClose collaboration with researchers across the firm  Technology and Business SkillsEssentialAbility to think creatively, to come up with and implement original research and ideasExceptional analytical skills; recognised by peers as an expert in one’s domainDeep understanding of statistics/ML and an ability to apply it to real world problemsExpertise in a high-level programming language such as Python/ RAdvantageousKnowledge of market structure, participants, trading venues and microstructure of at least one of the major asset classesExperience in intraday alpha researchExperience in building ML modelsExperience with handling large data sets and tick dataPersonal AttributesPhD or exceptional Masters / Bachelor’s qualification in a quantitative subjectIntellectual integrity with a keenly analytic approach to problem solvingAbility to deliver projects with high commercial valueHands-on attitude; willing to get involved with technology and projects across the firmSelf-organised with the ability to effectively manage time across multiple projects and with competing business demands and prioritiesStrong interpersonal skills; adaptability and ability to establish and maintain a close working relationship with quantitative researchers, technologists, traders and senior business people alikeConfident communicator, able to argue a point concisely and deal positively with conflicting viewsThe anticipated based salary range for this position is listed below. Compensation packages would also include benefits and a discretionary bonus.
