TechSilo is looking for a Junior Programmer to support coordination of database tasks and contribute to timely completion of project milestones. This opportunity supports the Data Analysis Search Host (DASH)  database developed by the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Whether you’re experienced in project management or looking to deepen your expertise in managing government-related programming projects, you’ll be working on projects that make a difference.On a given day, you will spend time:Supporting the DASH team by maintaining and modifying database structuresDeveloping or editing SQL queries and scripts for reporting and data extractionTroubleshooting issues in data workflows and entry interfacesAssisting in improving Microsoft Access-based forms and data toolsSetting and enforcing quality standards to meet contract requirementsResolving issues and facilitating communication between the Contractor and FDA project teamsSupporting documentation and quality checks to help ensure compliance with FDA data standards and administrative guidelinesParticipating in setting task deadlines, tracking technical deliverables, and escalating any issues to ensure timely resolutionContributing to enforcing quality work standards as part of a broader FDA regulatory data management teamSupporting compliance with administrative and contractual requirements through documentation, coordination, and progress reportingQualificationsEligible for NACI (Public Trust) clearance (required)Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related fieldExperience: Minimum of 4 years professional experience, including at least 2 years of experience coordinating or managing technical projects or tasks.Skills & Certifications:Experience with database systems and programming languages relevant to DASH or similar platforms (e.g., SQL, Python, Java)Strong organizational and communication skills to facilitate team coordination and stakeholder engagementExperience supporting federal health programs such as the FDA’s Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER) or similar regulatory environments (preferred)Experience with Microsoft Access and structured data systems in a regulatory or public health setting preferredKnowledge of quality standards enforcement and compliance monitoring in government contractsFamiliarity with project management tools (such as Microsoft Project or JIRA) is a plus but not requiredAbility to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environmentStrong attention to detail and ability to work independentlyDemonstrated ability to help resolve issues that impact project delivery timelinesAbility to support enforcement of work quality standards across multi-task technical projectsExperience supporting compliance with administrative or contractual requirements in a regulated environmentAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
