This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who’s eager to get hands-on experience in technical implementation, problem-solving, and customer-facing configuration work – all while learning how real-world software platforms are built and supported. You’ll work within the PolicyFly platform to build and update the logic that powers our customers’ insurance programs, including:• Generating documents using Word templates (docxtemplater)• Managing customer-facing forms using configuration in Typescript• Writing business rules using simple scripts in Lua• Occasionally helping build ETL scripts to load customer data into our reporting systems• Making customer dreams come true 🌈🦄Position DetailsType: Full-time (after paid trial period)Location: RemoteCompensation: $40-$60k DOE and location (full-time position)Key ResponsibilitiesConfigure and update customer logic across documents, forms, and rating rulesUse and extend templates for policy documents (via .docx and templating syntax)Implement and test scripted business logic (e.g., Lua rating functions)Make customer-facing form changes using Typescript configHelp triage and fix live customer issues or change requestsBuild or adapt data import scripts to load customer data into our reporting systemsLearn fast, take initiative, and grow into owning full onboarding projects over timeRequired SkillsSolid Microsoft Word skills (especially tables, formatting, structure)Strong attention to detailComfort with logical thinking and conditional logicExperience with programming languages (JavaScript, Python, Lua, Typescript, etc.)Clear written and verbal communication (we’re remote)A self-starter mindset with a hunger to learnNice to HaveFamiliarity with Git/version controlExperience using VS Code or similar editorsHands-on exposure to scripting or simple automation (even in school or side projects)Understanding of how data flows through systems (ETL, APIs, etc.)Insurance industry or documentation experienceGrowth PathThis role is designed to grow into:• Leading full technical implementations for new customers• Becoming an internal expert in rating, templates, and workflow config• Contributing to internal tools and systems that make our onboarding faster and better
