This role is hands-on, execution-focused, and suited for candidates who can independently deliver production-grade automation in DCAA-regulated environments. The ideal candidate blends strong Python engineering skills with deep familiarity in cost accounting, timekeeping, and audit-ready financial systems.Required:Deep experience (7+ years) in financial systems and automation Strong insights in cost accounting, indirect rates, and labor reportingAdvanced Python development for data pipelines and productionExperience integrating accounting and timekeeping platformsAbility to design audit-ready, traceable automation workflowsProven ability to execute independently with minimal oversightStrong development skills (Bash, Python, PowerShell, Rust, SQL)Direct experience supporting DCAA-compliant environmentsEffective communication and collaborative team approachU.S. citizen; able to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearanceDesired:Experience building internal tools for finance, HR, or operationsExposure to CI/CD, version control, and infrastructure automationExperience with BQE Core, Deltek, Unanet, or similar systemsExperience with DCAA audit artifacts and recurring submissionsFamiliar with government cost principles (FAR Part 31)Familiar with centralized logging and metrics (ELK, Graylog, Grafana)Prior work in small or mid-sized government contractorsAbility to translate finance requirements into durable softwareActive U.S. security clearanceRemote friendly (US-based).
