The experts at C6 are research and data-driven and ready to create custom solutions.  Summary:Goldbelt C6, Inc. is seeking a responsible and professional Data Scientist to provide technical and analytical support to the Data and Analytics Visualization (DAV) Team under the National Wastewater Surveillance System (NWSS) program.  This position will be instrumental in advancing the completion of the Public NWSS and Improved Dashboard. This dashboard is a key deliverable that will demonstrate the capabilities of the 1CDP Platform for our federal partners (i.e., DoD, FDA, etc.), and other external partners not currently sending data to the 1CDP platform. The data scientist will work closely with the DAV subject matter experts (SMEs) to optimize data analytics workflows and enhance visualization efficiency, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products.

Responsibilities:
Essential Job Functions:Provide technical oversight and analytics support to finalize the public NWSS and Improved DashboardEnhance data visualization capabilities within the DAV Team to support 1CDP platform demonstration effortsPartner with the BAH RREDI team to document and streamline technical processes for continuity beyond the contract periodImprove overall efficiency and technical readiness of the DAV Team in preparation for upcoming federal engagements

Qualifications:
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:Self-motivator, attention to details, and ability to communicate with CDC staff across the agencyProficiency in with the following: Python, R, or SQL, JSON, D3, Javascript, Tableau, Power BI, HTML, React, Angular, etc.Familiarity with database management systems and cloud platformsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsExcellent communication and presentation abilitiesAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityMinimum Qualifications:Master’s degree in public health administration, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related fieldMinimum 5+ years’ experience in Project Support Minimum of 2 years of experience in data visualization and analysis, preferably in the health sectorExperience with web development, including front-end and back-end technologies Preferred Qualifications:Excellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong communication skills, capable of effectively interacting with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholdersAbility to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environmentPay and BenefitsThe annual salary range for this position is $110,000 to $115,000. At Goldbelt, we value and reward our team's dedication and hard work.
