What You’ll Do

Build reliable, scalable backend services using Node.js and TypeScript

Design and operate APIs and data flows that power core features of our product

Own the full lifecycle of backend systems, from architecture and code to deployment, monitoring, and observability

Help evolve and maintain our AWS infrastructure using Terraform

Optimize performance, reliability, and maintainability of our backend systems

Help shape the culture and engineering standards of our growing team

You’re a Great Fit If You:

Have 10+ years of experience building and operating production backend systems

Care deeply about system observability, reliability, and performance

Are comfortable managing cloud infrastructure (AWS + Terraform experience strongly preferred)

Have strong experience with Node.js and TypeScript in production

Have hands-on experience with relational databases (especially Postgres / AWS RDS)

Enjoy working on a tight-knit, fast-moving team where engineers wear multiple hats

Communicate clearly and enjoy cross-functional collaboration

If remote, please be between UTC/GMT -3 to -8 timezones

Bonus Points:

Experience operating production systems at scale with strong observability practices

Experience with Prisma and advanced Postgres performance tuning

Comfortable working with infrastructure as code (Terraform)

Based in or near San Luis Obispo, CA, though remote is welcome
