We work closely with our business partners to deliver a superior online experience focusing on stability, performance, and service delivery.How You'll Make an Impact:We are looking for a Java Software Developer who will take a key role on our team. The ideal candidate must have knowledge in all stages of software development and seamlessly move between back-end development and front-end development. You will be working alongside and collaborating with our team architects and developers, and you will be responsible for creation and support for Fidelity Canada’s web properties.This includes:Develop, code, install, test, debug, and document Web applicationsEnsure security of all Web sites and related applicationsCommunicate with business and participate in scrum meetingsWhat We Are Looking For:University degree, preferably in the field of Computer Science or equivalent working experienceMinimum 2 years of software development experienceSolid understanding and working knowledge of technology stack e.g. React/Angular, Java, Spring/Spring boot, API (REST/SOAP), JavaScript, HTML/HTML5, XHTML, CSS, CSS3, jQuery, SQL/PLSQLHands on with DevOps and complete SDLC cycle till production release and supportAWS clouds and experience with Content Management System would be an assetPrior Investment or Mutual Fund experience is an assetThe Expertise You Bring:Excellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detail with innovative problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work independently while being in a team environmentTechnical insight and experience to advise, guide, challenge and support technical decisionsCommitment to continuously evolve skills and keep up to date with the latest technologyCurrent work authorization for Canada is required for all openings.
