Job Description : This is a full-time remote position that can be located anywhere in the U.S. Responsible for Quality Assurance (QA) testing for GENEX services by actively performing test execution to validate the software solution meets the business requirements, design and acceptance criteria. Partnership through the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with business and developers to understand requirements and design solutions. Provide Quality Assurance testing support during the implementation of new initiatives, releases, enhancements, technical upgrades, and bug fixes for GENEX applications.   Responsibilities: Collaborates closely with development teams and project managers to understand project requirements, design documents, crosswalk documents, acceptance criteria and provides feedback to ensure the software meets quality standardsCreates and executes detailed test plans/test cases and creates test dataEnsures all testing activities are conducted systematically, effectively and follow department guidelinesPerforms functional testing - tests specific changes/enhancements, including positive and negative scenariosPerforms regression testing – tests core functionality of the various Genex applicationsSystem integration testing – tests integration with other key application dependencies both upstream and downstream Identifies, documents, and reports defects/bugs as part of QA execution testingWorks directly with development team on defects and re-testing bug fixesTracks progress of projects, change and release tasks and provides QA updates/status Works with offshore teams.
