In this role, you’ll build and ship features that directly support our customers and workers, while maintaining the core AI infrastructure that powers our systems—including search, retrieval, and knowledge-sharing capabilities. You will be employed by a third-party legal entity authorized to do business in the location in which you reside and you will provide contractual services to Wonolo’s Engineering team. You’ll work closely with Machine Learning Engineers to productionize state-of-the-art models, and collaborate cross-functionally to design agentic systems that are reliable, scalable, and consistent. Along the way, you’ll contribute to architectural decisions around LLM-driven workflows, uphold high standards for code quality and testing, and play a key role in delivering cutting-edge AI capabilities across the stack.We welcome qualified candidates located anywhere in Latin America and are willing to work on a remote setup. What you'll do:Build and ship features for our AI agents that support our customers and workersBuild and maintain core AI infrastructure, including search systems and retrieval algorithmsCollaborate with Machine Learning Engineers to productionize state-of-the-art models and techniquesWork across the stack to deliver AI capabilities that enhance knowledge sharingCollaborate cross-functionally to build and refine agentic systems that are reliable and consistentEnsure high standards for code quality, testing, and documentationContribute to architectural discussions around LLM-driven workflows and agentic systemsWho you are:5+ years of Software Engineer experience as a hands-on technical contributor in Python, Ruby or GoExperience writing code that interacts with LLMsExperience building deterministic, repeatable workflowsProficient understanding of AI model capabilities and limitationsExperience in cross-collaborating across the organization to implement complex customer facing productsKnowledge of workflow engines a plus (Temporal preferred, AWS Step Functions, Airflow)Strong understanding of reproducibility, debugging, and system reliability when working with LLMs.Commitment to building agentic systems through code (not low-code/no-code solutions).If you have read up to this point, we hope you are excited about this opportunity to work at Wonolo!
