This is a rare opportunity to help design and build the foundational technology for a robotics platform from the ground up.We are self-funded and currently building the v1 platform with our first pilot partners (energy, hospitality and sports sectors). Role OverviewAs a Senior Full-Stack Engineer, you’ll help define and implement the initial technical architecture for our orchestration and AI platform. You’ll collaborate closely with robotics, AI, and infrastructure teams to design a scalable, high-performance system that bridges edge and cloud environments — enabling real-time perception, control, and data orchestration across diverse robotic systems. You’ll take ownership of end-to-end development — from backend services to frontend dashboards and deployment pipelines — and play a key role in shaping the product’s technical foundation, coding standards, and development culture.Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications for robot management, monitoring, and orchestration. Lead early decisions around architecture, frameworks, and data infrastructure. Build backend services and APIs that connect robot control systems, telemetry, and AI inference pipelines. Develop intuitive dashboards to visualize robot status, task queues, and fleet performance. Collaborate cross-functionally with AI, robotics, and DevOps engineers to define interfaces between edge and cloud systems. Implement CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code foundations (GitHub Actions, Terraform, etc.). Ensure performance, reliability, and observability from day one. Technical Direction: We are in the process of defining our core stack. We expect it to evolve around: Python (FastAPI, asyncio) for backend services and AI/robotics integration. React / Next.js (TypeScript) for the frontend interface and dashboards. AWS for infrastructure (EKS, Lambda, S3), with PostgreSQL, Redis, and Kafka/MQTT for data and messaging. We’re open to your input — you’ll have significant influence in finalizing the architecture, tools, and development workflows. Qualifications 7+ years of professional experience with proven ability to design and ship complex systems. Strong backend expertise in Python (FastAPI, Django, or similar). Proficiency in React / Next.js (TypeScript) or equivalent modern frontend frameworks. Experience with API design, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes). Hands-on experience with AWS or equivalent cloud platforms. Familiarity with event-driven systems (Kafka, MQTT, ROS). Experience setting up or influencing early-stage architecture is a strong plus. Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-disciplinary startup environment. Preferred Experience Building developer-facing or orchestration platforms. Working with real-time telemetry and robot APIs. Implementing monitoring dashboards (Grafana, Prometheus). Previous experience in zero-to-one or early-stage environments. Why Join Us Help design and build the technical foundation for a next-generation robotics orchestration platform. Join at the ground level — influence architecture, culture, and direction from day one. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of AI researchers, robotics engineers, and product builders. Work remotely, primarily aligned to London (UK) time. Shape technology that will define the future of human–robot interaction across multiple industries. Reporting & StructureThis role reports directly to the Managing Director and will work closely with a growing team of engineers, AI researchers, and robotics specialists. We currently have around 20 team members across disciplines (mostly technical), and you’ll play a pivotal role in scaling our technical capabilities as we grow.
