About Your New RoleWe’re seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help drive the next evolution of our 13-year-strong Quote Engine—a mission-critical system powering our quoting and pricing operations. This is a high-impact opportunity to build and ship features in a complex, high-throughput environment while modernizing a battle-tested platform for the next decade.You’ll work closely with product and engineering peers to design and deliver production code that scales, focusing on reliability, performance, and maintainability. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving tough technical problems and contributing directly to business-critical outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain core components of our Quote Engine in production.Develop scalable, concurrent, and resilient services using modern patterns.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Finance, Vendor Management) to deliver features aligned with business goals.Implement event-driven and queue-based architectures with a focus on durability and fault tolerance.Contribute to operational excellence by writing observable, maintainable, and secure systems.Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment to ensure high-quality releases.Takes on additional responsibilities and projects as needed to support the success of the team and organization.Must-Have Technical Expertise5+ years experience designing, building, and maintaining features across backend (PHP, Python, or Go) and frontend (React) with a 50/50 focus.Proven experience building highly scalable, concurrent systems.Strong knowledge of:Multithreaded architectures, concurrency primitives, and non-blocking I/O.Distributed systems design (CAP trade-offs, consistency models).Event-driven architectures and microservices (Kafka, RabbitMQ, NATS, Service Bus).Fault tolerance, back-pressure strategies, and circuit breakers.Familiarity with Azure (preferred) or other cloud platforms, including serverless orchestration.Solid understanding of authentication/security standards (OAuth 2.0, mTLS, secrets management).Why you'll love life at Command|LinkJoin us at CommandLink, where you'll have the opportunity to shape the future of business communication.
