This is a remote position.        You will deliver technical solutions using cutting edge technologies and industry best practices to implement and administer cloud platforms for 56Bit’s customers. The Senior Cloud Engineer helps ensure the team promotes the use of automation to solve technical challenges and strives to create elegant, reliable, and cost-effective solutions as part of project & task deliverables.                   Deliver technical solutions following best practices          Promote the use of automation to solve technical challenges          Conduct client-facing AWS consultancy          Design and architect elegant AWS solutions (using the AWS Well-Architected Framework)          Terraform/CloudFormation/Python Code reviews          Own and project manage cloud infrastructure projects ensuring the team delivers on time, within budget and within the appropriate level of quality          Help the business development team with complex technical queries          Be an escalation point for junior/mid-level Cloud Engineers          Have a business-minded approach, while being able to help the Technical Manager deliver company targets           Requirements                 Technical Requirements                                 4+ years of hands-on AWS experience            6+ years of hands-on system administration experience             1+ Professional/Speciality level certification in AWS   or have the ability to get certified within 3 months             Linux System Administration & Bash scripting              AWS Well-Architected Framework              Strong Terraform Skills              Web services, API, REST              TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP and distributed networks              Database experience (SQL and/or NoSQL)               CI/CD and DevOps              Mid to advanced experience in at least one programming language (Python preferred)              Work experience in infrastructure, database and network administration for highly available and scalable applications                                        Would be considered an asset                                AWS Serverless technologies              Kubernetes              Project Management              Preferred Qualifications                        Customer obsessed              Quality obsessed (with an ability to deliver quality within appropriate timelines)              Ability to work with ambiguity/uncertainty and a willingness to try new/challenging things without constant guidance              Willingness to work in a start-up environment while serving medium to large enterprises (usually multinational corporations)              You have a passion for troubleshooting and solving problems              Passion for learning and getting certified in new technologies              A confident and professional attitude, never afraid to speak up if something is not right              High-level of written and spoken English             Strong communication skills (both internal and client-facing)                   Benefits          Good rate of pay -    Because you deserve it.
