Break Sports is hiring a remote software engineer to build out our sports & rec operating system.

            Break Sports is a mission-driven sports booking platform dedicated to making recreational sports accessible for all. We give players a new way to find free-to-join clubs based on location, skill, level, and interest with the goal of connecting and building communities through sport. We are seeking an experienced remote Software Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of web applications - Node, Express, Koa, React, & Next.Responsibilities:Develop and maintain web applications using Node, Express, Koa, React, NextWork on a variety of projects, from small bug fixes to large-scale featuresCollaborate with other engineers and designers to implement new featuresReview and improve existing codeMentor and train junior engineersQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience5+ years of experience as a software engineerExperience working with remote teams Strong understanding of javascript libraries and web applicationsExperience with scheduling systems and/or payments a plusExcellent problem-solving and debugging skillsStrong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamUS-basedGreat spoken and written EnglishBenefits:Remote work Core hours 9a-12p PT, flexible beyond this.Opportunities for professional growth and development
