This is a great position for someone looking to work with a team to produce high performance cloud-based web applications to benefit active-duty military, veterans and their dependents within the TRICARE Benefit program.  This is a small yet highly productive team that works well for self-motivated individuals who enjoy the demands required for successful software development in a cloud-based environment. Job Summary:The candidate shall provide technical expertise to design, build, and lead others in creating high performance application components for cloud-based web applications within the Defense Health Agency environment.  Design responsibilities will include interfacing with the client directly to obtain priorities which are then used to populate and manage an Agile Development backlog.  Once the backlog has been curated, the candidate will be expected to lead daily standup meetings and bi-weekly sprint planning sessions to help the rest of the team understand their tasks for the sprint.  The candidate will be expected to contribute with development efforts during the sprint when able, writing clean and efficient code using Microsoft Blazor, C#, and .NET Core.This position requires outstanding communication and technical skills as there will be time when you will be dealing with a very technical team of Software Developers as well as requirements or business discussions with non-technical Points of Contact.Roles and Responsibilities:A successful candidate can expect the following responsibilities:Design and build scalable and high-performance application componentsDevelop and execute automated unit and integration tests to ensure application reliabilityMaintain comprehensive project coding standards and best practicesPerform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers to better the Team’s overall code production and produce a better software productManage system documentation to support Development tasks, Quality Assurance tasks, and assist in DISA RMF Risk Assessment effortsCoordinate with Quality Assurance personnel to validate application functionalityCoordinate and Manage PaaS and DBaaS Cloud Platforms utilized by the Development Team to maintain the existing Production and Pre-production environmentsMaintain the Application and Cloud Platform security posture through tracking IAVM patches and mitigations, providing STIG assessments to invested parties on a quarterly basis, and developing Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&M) entries for any cybersecurity gaps that have been identifiedBasic Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years of related work experience.
