You’ll collaborate with design teams and field personnel to ensure accurate, timely, and high-quality deliverables. This role requires a strong foundation in GIS and experience in fiber network design. Key Responsibilities Analyze, repurpose, and update geospatial data under time-sensitive conditions to meet project deadlines.Support complex fiber network design and implementation in collaboration with OSP Engineering and field teams.Conduct spatial analysis for conflict detection and route optimization, integrating results into project workflows.Provide real-time GIS support in cloud-based environments for field surveys and construction teams.Perform advanced QC/QA checks to ensure geometric, topological, and attribute accuracy of GIS data.Mentor junior GIS Specialists and lead GIS efforts on medium-sized OSP projects. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise 3–5+ years of experience with ArcGIS or QGIS, with strong proficiency in at least one GIS ecosystem.5+ years of GIS experience and a bachelor’s or master’s degree in GIS, engineering, or a related field is preferred.Professional GIS certifications and demonstrated mastery of all required qualifications.Hands-on fiber design experience creating map layouts, routing, and managing network attribute data.Understanding of Python, SQL, or JavaScript and their applications in GIS contexts.Strong communication skills and ability to adapt quickly to new systems and workflows.Self-motivated with a proven ability to meet goals and improve GIS processes.
