We’re a pre-seed, women-led startup on a mission to fix hiring in the service industry—an industry that powers our daily lives but struggles with constant, inefficient, and unsuccessful hiring. This is your opportunity to help build a product that connects millions of people to meaningful work in an industry focused on taking care of others.
Why Join Jobreel?• A soon-to-be unicorn startup 🦄 (yes, we’re manifesting it).• Clear path to product-market fit—we’re not just another startup with an idea; we have traction.• Backed by experience: Our team includes former Netflix, Airbnb, and Meta engineers and operators.• Flexible work setup: The CEO is based in San Francisco, but the rest of the team is remote.• Funded through a friends & family round, with plans for further growth.• We value equality and increasing access to good jobs—our mission is as important as our product.• We care about what we’re building and want to make a real-world impact.
🎯 What You’ll Be DoingAs our Founding Full-Stack Engineer, you’ll be a core part of our engineering team, owning major technical decisions and setting the foundation for our product’s success. You’ll work across the backend (NestJS, TypeORM, Postgres) and frontend (Next.js, React) to build scalable, high-performing systems.
Key Responsibilities:• Own and build core features across both frontend (Next.js) and backend (NestJS, TypeORM).• Architect and optimize the backend for performance, scalability, and maintainability.• Develop and maintain a component-driven frontend UI that delivers an exceptional user experience.• Collaborate closely with the CEO, designers, and product team to shape the roadmap and user experience.• Optimize for speed and scalability, ensuring seamless performance.• Implement best practices in development, security, and database design.• Own your work—from writing code to shipping features to fixing bugs.

You can take ownership of projects with little direction.• You care about the service industry. Maybe you’ve worked in it, or someone you know has.• You have strong full-stack experience.
