This role reports to the VP of Strategic Engineering.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:  Own and evolve the AI Platform (formerly Core Services), including shared data semantics, contracts, and quality standards that enable AI -first capabilities. Design and deliver AI-ready data interfaces, APIs, and services that allow product and platform teams to intelligently consume and augment data. Establish guardrails to ensure AI systems operate on consistent, trusted and well-governed data. Enable agentic workflows, AI-assisted decisioning, and intelligent automation through reusable platform primitives and patterns. Partner closely with Product, Architecture, Application, and Data teams to align platform capabilities with real business and operational needs. Use metrics around data quality, platform adoption, and system health to drive accountability and continuous improvement. Own the AI Platform strategy and long-term technical direction end-to-end, scaling shared data and AI foundations across teams, setting company-wide standards for data semantics and AI readiness, and delegating execution through senior engineers or managers in close partnership with executive leadership.   EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) or business-related field is preferred, or equivalent education, training and relevant work experience. 7+ years of engineering leadership experience, including leading senior engineers or platform teams. Experience operating in regulated or compliance-driven environments (e.g., healthcare, SOC2, HIPAA). Experience leading distributed teams across the US and/or Mexico.   ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Ability to work in an environment that aligns with the company's diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging standards. The colleague must be able to discern text displayed on a monitor, input data into specific fields using a keyboard, and adjust focus to distances of up to three feet. The colleague must have the ability to learn new tasks, follow established processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, complete multiple tasks simultaneously, communicate professionally with colleagues and customers, and complete tasks in situations that have a speed or productivity requirement.
