The Data Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining secure, scalable data pipelines and infrastructure that power Integra Connect’s healthcare analytics and product platforms. This role requires strong technical expertise in data engineering combined with an understanding of healthcare data standards and compliance frameworks. The ideal candidate will be skilled in transforming complex, heterogeneous healthcare data into clean, usable datasets that drive insights and innovation.

 

Responsibilities:


	Design and implement robust data pipelines to ingest, transform, and deliver healthcare data from multiple sources, including EHRs, claims systems, labs, and registries.
	Develop and maintain data models and warehouses that support analytics, reporting, and real-world evidence generation.
	Ensure compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, and other healthcare data privacy and security standards.
	Work with product managers, architects, and data scientists to translate business and clinical requirements into technical specifications.
	Implement best practices for data quality, lineage, and governance across all data assets.
	Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and ETL/ELT workflows using tools such as Snowflake, dbt, and modern cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
	Participate in peer code and design reviews to ensure accuracy, scalability, and maintainability.
	Troubleshoot complex data issues, conduct root cause analyses, and implement long-term solutions.
	Serve as a technical subject matter expert for healthcare data engineering and integration.
	Support internal and external stakeholders by addressing data-related inquiries and production issues.
