Growing together.Primary Responsibilities:Design, develop, and enhance Java-based applications aligned with Optum standardsProvide L2 and L3 support for enterprise applications, drive RCA, resolve incidents, and ensure system stabilityHandle complex technical issues independently with solid analytical and debugging skillsCollaborate with cross-functional partners including Product, QA, SRE, Infrastructure, and Business to deliver seamless solutionsParticipate in design reviews, peer code reviews, and engineering best practice discussionsImplement monitoring, alerting, and automation to enhance system reliabilitySupport AI/ML-based features or integration initiatives as a secondary skillComply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:GraduateExperience in L2/L3 application support, including incident management and production troubleshootingSolid proficiency in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and related frameworksProven ability to analyze logs, performance issues, and complex workflowsPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree 5+ years of proven work experience as a software engineerExperience working in Agile/Scrum environmentsExposure to AI/ML development concepts Proven excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams effectivelyProven solid ownership mindset and ability to handle complex tasks with minimal supervisionAt UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
