Job Description:
As a Java Engineer, you will develop, debug, and maintain secure, high‑quality backend services and APIs in a large-scale enterprise environment. This role requires strong expertise in Core Java, Spring Boot, RESTful API development, and test-driven methodologies. You will collaborate within agile teams, contribute to code quality and resiliency practices, and support the full software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop, enhance, and maintain backend services using Core Java and Spring Boot.
Create and consume RESTful APIs for application integrations.
Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve complex application issues in a large enterprise environment.
Implement Java design patterns and apply best practices in application development.
Write and execute test cases using JUnit and support component, acceptance, and virtualization testing.
Use Git/Bitbucket for version control and collaborative development.
Contribute to Test Driven Development (TDD) practices.
Participate in agile ceremonies and support CI/CD and resiliency engineering efforts.

Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:
Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
5+ years of hands-on experience developing applications in enterprise environments.
Strong experience with Core Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful API development.
Solid understanding and practical application of Java design patterns.
Knowledge of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Experience writing unit tests with JUnit and supporting broader testing activities.
Proficiency with Git, Bitbucket, and other version control tools.
Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD).
Understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, and application resiliency practices.


The hourly range for roles of this nature are $40.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
