Job Description for Backend developer role (Node.js) at MakerWe are looking for developers with solid fundamentals in software development, systems, troubleshooting, sharp coding skills, and a passion for working on the latest technologies in a fast-paced environment.As a backend developer, your job will be highly technical and hands-on.You will also need to manage our infrastructure on Vercel, AWS, Fastly, and Cloudflare.Our stack is mostly Node.js (using Rescript) running on serverless functions.Your typical day-to-day will involve: Taking complete ownership of Maker's technology platform development including hands-on development, backend architecture, and technology strategy.Exploring and evaluating new developments in tech that can benefit our products and platform, or the operational effectiveness of the software development team. Must haves: 10+ years be a writer of clean, readable, and maintainable code and testsExperience in building Node.js applicationsExperience building APIs and integrating with third-party APIs Experience working on an internal product (an application or CMS) is a plus Worked on key functionality for a cloud-based product Experience in software engineering and architecture (experience working in a product-based startup is required).Experience building at least one product from scratch, and then scaling them from 10X to 100X. Good communication skills, and ability to speak in English with fellow team members.Location: RemoteLocation of work: Remote, 9 am - 7 pm (local time)
