Job Title: .NET Applications Developer – MS-MDEK12 (100% Remote) Job Code: 154665 Location: Remote (MS-based preferred for occasional in-person coordination if needed) Duration: Long-term, until 02/28/2031 Hours: Full-time, 40 hrs/week (8 AM – 5 PM); overtime available Rate: $48/hr W2 | $57/hr C2C / 1099

About the Role: The State of Mississippi MDEK12 team is seeking experienced .NET Developers to join our 100% remote development team. You will design, create, and maintain application code while contributing to a modern, full-stack environment using .NET Core 8, React, and Azure DevOps. This is an exciting opportunity to work on K-12 education systems, enhancing student information systems and supporting statewide reporting initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, update, and maintain application code

Commit code, create pull requests, and manage branching using Git/GitHub

Write and execute unit tests; debug and troubleshoot applications

Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams

Ensure code and applications meet design, documentation, and UI/UX standards


Required Skills & Experience:


Front-end: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular


Back-end: C#, Java, Python


Full Stack Development: Multi-tier development experience


Databases: SQL Server, COSMOS DB or similar


Tools: Azure DevOps, Git/GitHub


Application Design & UI/UX: Familiarity with design and documentation best practices


Agile Methodology: Scrum experience


React Application Development and .NET Core 8 proficiency


Preferred Skills:
Experience with Student Information Systems (SIS) and K-12 data/reporting systems
