The NYH Foundation is focused on building life support systems and mental wellness communities across Fort Worth, Arlington, and surrounding areas. We are developing innovative digital tools to connect individuals with support, resources, and professionals in the mental health space.

Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate Volunteer Web Developer to help design and build a dynamic, user-friendly website that integrates AI-driven support tools and community resources. This role is ideal for someone excited about using technology to make a real impact in mental health and community care.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain the NYH Foundation website
Integrate an AI-powered chat system that:
Engages users in supportive conversation
Securely records user inputs when appropriate
Flags or reports key insights to designated counselors (with ethical and privacy considerations)
Develop a job board and event hub for:
Coaches
Counselors
Psychologists
Mental health professionals and students
Collaborate with leadership to create a seamless, calming, and accessible user experience
Ensure mobile responsiveness and performance optimization
Preferred Skills & Qualifications

Experience with WordPress, Webflow, or similar platforms
Strong understanding of UI/UX design (especially calming, wellness-focused design)
Familiarity with AI integrations, chatbots, or conversational interfaces
Knowledge of data privacy and ethical handling of sensitive user information
Experience building:
Job boards
Event platforms or community hubs
Basic understanding of backend systems or APIs is a plus
