About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to participate in technical meetings with clients and help us intake new projects.

Your responsibility is to join client meetings, understand their technical needs, ask the right engineering questions, and help shape a clear project scope so work can move forward.

This is ideal for an engineer who enjoys client interaction, problem discovery, and technical discussions.

What You Will Do

Join client calls and technical meetings
Lead or support technical discovery sessions
Understand client goals, constraints, and expectations
Ask structured technical questions around:
Architecture and system design
APIs and integrations
Backend / frontend requirements
Data, security, and infrastructure
Identify risks, unknowns, and assumptions early
Produce clear technical notes and summaries after calls
Help determine whether a project is feasible and well-defined
Occasionally participate in technical challenges or evaluations required by clients
Requirements

Software engineering background (5+ years preferred)
Comfortable discussing system design and implementation approaches
Experience with common technologies such as:
JavaScript / TypeScript
Python, Java, Go, or similar
APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure
Strong spoken English and clear communication
Ability to translate client needs into technical understanding
Based in the United States
Nice to Have

Experience in consulting, agencies, or client-facing engineering roles
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
Experience participating in technical interviews or assessments

Hourly rate: $40 – $80 per hour
