Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Software Developer to join our energetic team! This role is focused on hands-on development, modern CI/CD practices, and building scalable, cloud-native applications in support of VA systems and services.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, test, and deploy high-quality JavaScript-based applications
Build and integrate Python-based components, including embedded Python within Power BI for data processing and analytics
Manage and maintain GitHub repositories, workflows, and GitHub Runners
Design and implement CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline)
Collaborate on application architecture and technical implementation
Integrate applications with AWS services
Ensure code quality, testing, and reliable deployments
Required Qualifications

Strong experience in JavaScript (Node.js, React, or similar)
Working experience with Python, including use in data workflows or Power BI integrations
Proficiency with GitHub, workflows, GitHub Runner configurations, and version control best practices
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and pipeline automation
Experience working in AWS environments
Ability to work independently and deliver in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications

Active or prior Public Trust clearance
Experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA)
⭐️⭐️ HIGHLY PREFERABLE: ACTIVE VETERANS AFFAIRS (VA) PIV ⭐️⭐️

Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or serverless architectures
Exposure to DevOps practices and infrastructure as code
Additional Information
This role is part of a broader team buildout. A DevOps/Cloud Infrastructure Engineer role is anticipated as a follow-on position.

Pay: $82,894.50 - $99,829.93 per year
