Job Summary

We’re looking for a Software Application Engineer to help evolve and extend our proprietary web platform while supporting ongoing client-driven development needs. This is a hands-on, senior-level role for someone who enjoys building real functionality, shipping features, and solving practical problems in a production environment.

You’ll work primarily on new platform capabilities—from backend logic to front-end integration—while also responding to custom development requests for active clients. This role requires strong technical judgment, the ability to work independently, and comfort in balancing long-term platform improvements with shorter-turn client work.

If you like owning features end-to-end, working closely with product and account teams, and writing clean, maintainable code that actually gets used, this role is built for you.

Duties

Platform development & new functionality

Design and build new features and capabilities for our proprietary web platform.
Extend existing systems while maintaining performance, security, and scalability.
Translate product or business requirements into well-architected technical solutions.
Contribute to technical decisions around structure, tooling, and patterns.
Client-driven development work

Implement custom development requests for active clients within our platform.
Scope requests, estimate effort, and communicate tradeoffs when needed.
Balance speed and quality while meeting real-world client deadlines.
Ensure custom work aligns with platform standards and does not create long-term technical debt.
Collaboration & delivery

Work closely with product, onboarding, account management, and other developers.
Participate in planning, code reviews, and technical discussions.
Provide clear status updates and surface risks early.
Support QA, bug fixes, and post-launch adjustments.
What You’ve Done: Must-have experience

5+ years of professional web or application development experience.
Strong experience building production web applications and platforms.
Proficiency with modern backend and frontend development (React / Gatsby / Nodejs preferred).
Experience designing and implementing new functionality—not just maintaining existing code.
Strong understanding of APIs, databases, and application architecture.
Comfortable working independently in a remote, async-friendly environment.
Nice-to-have experience

Experience with AWS.
Experience with MongoDB.
Experience working with proprietary or in-house platforms.
Familiarity with SEO (Search Engine Optimization)
Experience supporting multi-tenant applications.
Exposure to automotive, marketing, or CMS-style platforms.
Contract Details

Schedule: Monday–Friday 8-5 (in any contiguous US time zone)
Work Location: Fully remote
Equipment: Must have a reliable workspace suitable for daily webcam meetings
Pay: Up to $90,000.00 per year
