What you’ll do: As a Senior Software Engineer, you will report to technical leadership and play a key role in designing, building, and modernizing proprietary, primarily internal applications that support critical business operations. You’ll work closely with current engineering teams to translate business needs into scalable, reliable systems. In this role, you’ll balance hands-on development with technical leadership. Helping shape architecture decisions, improving engineering practices, and mentoring other engineers, while ensuring the software we deliver is secure, maintainable, and aligned with organizational goals. Responsibilities will include: Designing, building, and maintaining modern, scalable software solutions using C# 10+ and .NET 10, with a strong focus on leveraging new platform capabilities and performance improvements Leading efforts to modernize legacy proprietary systems built on ASP.NET Framework, AngularJS, and traditional MVC patterns into modern, cloud-native architecture Migrating and refactoring legacy UI and backend components to ASP.NET Core, modern Angular, and Blazor, improving maintainability, performance, and developer experience Designing, building, and deploying microservices-based architectures, including defining service boundaries, APIs, and communication patterns Collaborating closely with product, business, and engineering stakeholders to translate business needs into sustainable technical solutions Providing technical leadership through architecture guidance, code reviews, and mentoring junior and mid-level engineers Ensuring software quality through automated testing, performance tuning, and adherence to best practices Supporting deployment and operational readiness of applications, including collaboration on CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure Participating in architectural discussions and helping shape long-term technical strategy and modernization roadmaps Participating in agile ceremonies and contributing to the continuous improvement of team processes What we’re looking for: 5–10+ years of professional software development experience, with demonstrated experience leading projects or mentoring junior engineers Strong proficiency in C# 10+ and .NET 10, including deep experience with ASP.NET Core Experience building and maintaining modern web applications using Angular (current versions) and Blazor Hands-on experience designing, building, and deploying microservices architectures Strong understanding of modern software design principles, including API design, domain-driven design concepts, and scalable architectures Experience modernizing or migrating legacy ASP.NET Framework applications (MVC, AngularJS, HTML, JavaScript, SCSS/CSS, SQL Server) to modern platforms Solid SQL Server experience, including schema design and performance considerations Ability to communicate clearly, take ownership, and drive technical solutions from concept through delivery Experience with Azure cloud-native development, including managed services and platform integrations Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes Exposure to DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code (experience is beneficial but not required) Familiarity with MCP servers and AI‑assisted coding tools, using them responsibly to improve development speed, code quality, and maintainability Ability to execute in a fast-paced, high-demand environment while balancing multiple priorities Eagerness and willingness to learn new technologies Perks and benefits: At RSE, we’re committed to our employees' well-being and strive to create an inclusive environment that fosters and celebrates both personal and professional growth.
