Founded in 1997, ACI is a nationally licensed, full-service, Third-Party Administrator providing enrollment, fulfillment, and claims processing services for various insurance lines in the medical claims industry. This will be a remote based position, and our office is in Collegeville, PA. Department IT – Product Development Reports To Chief Technology Officer Core Responsibilities Platform Architecture Design and implement stateless microservices using .NET Core Replace Legacy stack with new scalable SOA Develop APIs supporting claims intake, validation, and adjudication Deploy services in Azure Build CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps Implement containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) where appropriate Design Service Specific SQL Server schemas and Databases Implement indexing strategies for high-read workloads Security & Compliance Implement HIPAA-compliant data handling Enforce role-based access control Support audit logging and traceability Collaboration Work closely with CTO and Product leadership on domain modeling Participate in architectural decision-making Mentor junior developers Document decisions and design patterns Required Technical Skills 5+ years professional development experience C#, .NET Core / .NET 8+ ASP.NET Web API SQL Entity Framework Core Angular, React or Vue experience (Currently MVC focused UI) Azure (App Services, Azure SQL, Storage, DevOps pipelines) Docker (Kubernetes experience a plus) REST API design and OpenAPI documentation Experience building and consuming microservices Strongly Preferred Experience Healthcare, TPA, or Insurtech systems Claims processing systems EDI 837 familiarity Claims data ingestion Refactoring monolith → microservices Experience in regulated industries Ideal Candidate Profile Thinks in systems, not tickets Understands separation of concerns at architecture level Writes clean, testable, predictable code Can independently drive a platform component from design → production Comfortable working directly with CTO on architecture This is not a junior role.
