Job Title: Senior Software Engineer, Salesforce A Senior Software Engineer, Salesforce at Arvest is considered a technical expert in one or more phases of application and/or systems engineering. They provide design recommendations based on long-term IT organization strategy and expertise regarding the integration of applications across the business. They will determine specifications, plan, design, and develop business critical software solutions, utilizing appropriate software engineering processes - either individually or in concert with the product team. What You’ll Do at Arvest: (Other duties may be assigned.) • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software systems; apply technical knowledge to drive outcomes for customers; work and problem-solve independently on initiatives that align to the broader software engineering strategy. • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies and best practices to maximize development efficiency and solution stability. • Participate in team collaboration sessions to provide technical expertise to solve a problem/remove technical roadblocks for the team; participate in product planning and implementation; helps team to understand and decompose work. • Contribute to the development of engineering best practices, templates, and frameworks; share engineering standards across internal teams and collaborate to help software engineers apply these patterns to build solutions that achieve outcomes. • Continuously assess technology to build more stable, scalable, and resilient software; promote and expand on the use of the CI/CD pipeline to improve the deployment and build process; participate in the team support rotation and provides expert knowledge on focus subsystems. • Evaluate new integration patterns, frameworks, and 3rd party solutions; complete research spikes and design proof-of-concepts to evaluate the feasibility of solutions. • Provide guidance and reinforcement around established engineering best practices; share technical expertise and help the team to solve technical/software issues. • Engage in the tech community to build the organization's technology brand and position as the employer of choice in the market. • Build and maintain scalable, high-performance Apex classes, triggers, and Lightning Web Components (LWC) to extend Salesforce functionality. • Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and maintainable code. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including administrators, architects, and project managers, to deliver end-to-end solutions. • Design, develop and maintain complex workflow rules, data validation, APEX triggers, Salesforce applications using Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL, and APEX. • Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.  Responsibilities: Toolbox for Success: • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other technical field or equivalent related work or military experience, is required • 5 years of experience in engineering environments, taking abstract concepts and ideas, and formulating a detailed software engineering plan to deliver • Strong experience with and understanding of: Salesforce Declarative and Programmatic Customization Salesforce design concepts that provide security and stability Debugging code and/or complex log files for troubleshooting and analysis of product defects Querying databases for complex data lookup/update Industry standard Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices Version and revision control practices and procedures • Ability to articulate and transfer complex ideas to a wide audience through both verbal and written communication • Strong conceptual, critical thinking, technical and problem-solving skills with good attention to details • Financial Services Industry experience is preferred, but not required • Relevant military experience is considered for veterans and transitioning service members Preferred Salesforce Certifications: • Salesforce Certified Administrator • Salesforce Platform App Builder • Salesforce Platform Developer I • Salesforce Platform Developer II • Salesforce OMNI Studio Developer Physical Demands: The associate must be able to travel occasionally by themselves within the US, possibly overnight.
