Summary
CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Information Technology group. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer, SAP ABAP Development with excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong problem solving, and interpersonal skills, meet deadlines and manage changing priorities, be able to quickly learn emerging technologies with the ability to resolve complex issues and lead team members.

Responsibilities
Work in multiple projects doing requirement gathering, analysis, design, development, debug, unit test, document, and review of development efforts.
Manage own workload, accurately estimate effort for tasks, and work with business users on priorities, and work towards completing it.
Recognize the critical elements of complex application problems, develop and evaluate data, determine solutions, and make logical recommendations.
Work closely with the value stream members to deliver the development objects on time meeting CHS quality standards.
Ensure delivery of high-quality products by adhering to CHS development standards and guidelines, performing code reviews and unit tests.
Operate within the ITSM framework and adhere to SDLC and Agile methodologies.
Remain current with newer capabilities in the SAP development framework and make recommendations when appropriate for continuous improvement.
Maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with technical and functional team members, peers, process owners, and users.
Guide and advise less experienced team members.
Attend user groups, webinars, training, workshops or conferences to learn new technologies and skills.
Provide ABAP technical support for patch and release upgrades, meet regulatory compliance requirements. periodically audit standards.
Minimum Qualifications (required)
Bachelor's degree preferred in Information technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology Management, or related field (or equivalent years of experience, education and training)
4+ years of experience in SAP ABAP Development to include:
Experience in determining architecture, strategy and direction
Full life-cycle SAP implementation experience including post go-live support
S/4 1909 or higher experience
Deep understanding and robust programming skills in OO ABAP, CDS Views, AMDPs, BRF+, BADIs, Proxy classes for inbound and outbound interfaces
Hands on experience on Gateway Odata services, analyzing Gateway performance issues and trouble shooting Odata services for Fiori Apps
In depth technical experience on all developments (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows - RICEFW’s)
Strong experience in analyzing, debugging, performance tuning of SAP standard functionalities, trouble shooting issues around locks, SLG1 log, memory, DB updates, queues, buffer, high volume data, background jobs
Good understanding of end-to-end process flow of at least one of the SAP modules
Additional Qualifications
Experience in Agile, ITSM, DevOps, ITIL frameworks/methodologies
Experience in SAP modules like ACM and/or TM
Analyzing standard SAP code and implementing OSS Notes
Experience in trouble shooting backend ABAP code of FIORI Apps
Experience with integrating REST and SOAP API’s
Experience in Restful Programming models
Knowledge of SPDD, SPAU, SPAU_ENH for system upgrades
Experience using tools: Focused Build, Solution Manager, Charm, SharePoint, HPALM, ADO
Experience mentoring other team members
Excellent communication/presentation skills (peer and management)
