Senior Software Engineer III (Remote)
Primary Location: Remote

V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Senior Software Engineer III (Remote) for our premier client.

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or comparable with 5 years or less of software development experience.
Knowledge of object-oriented design and development experience with one or more of the following programing languages: Cobol, SAS, other open-system languages.
Familiarity with relational databases and SQL.
Experience with any of the following, a plus: Snowflake environment tools like Elevate, Switchboard, DBT; ETL; file movement using sFTP.
Understanding of basic networking and firewall concepts.
Experience with version control solutions, preferably Git/GitHub.
Understanding of the full software development lifecycle.
Familiarity with security best practices for software development.
Strong analysis and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must Have:
Agile Business Analysis.

Mainframe technologies such as COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM.

Nice To Have:
Card processing solutions (TSYS, Mastercard).
Remote work will be allowed.
SAS knowledge.
Switchboard/DBT/Snowflake.

WHAT YOULL DO:
Job Responsibilities:
Implement new features while maintaining overall quality of software.
Contribute to a culture of learning by documenting and sharing technical knowledge as a developer on an agile squad.
Participate in developer communities of practice by following best practices, participating incode reviews, and sharing knowledge.
Remain current on relevant technology trends.
Participate in researching and resolving customer issues.
Other duties as assigned.
