Levers.Health is hiring a Senior Shopify & Systems Engineer to own and evolve the technical backbone of a fast-growing U.S. telehealth and longevity brand. We are hiring A-players with strong foundations.

This is not a theme-editing role. It is not a junior Shopify position. It is not an agency coordinator job. This is a high-agency engineering role at the intersection of ecommerce, growth, architecture, and systems execution.

You will own Shopify development and engineering for a U.S. DTC brand, execute technical CRO initiatives, architect integrations across CRM and operations, and help evolve our infrastructure toward modular, object-oriented, event-driven systems.

What You’ll Do:

Ecommerce & Growth Engineering

Own and evolve our primary Shopify platform @ www . levers . health
Build and optimize CRO systems including quiz funnels, subscriptions, upsells, and post-purchase flows
Implement structured experimentation across acquisition, onboarding, and retention
Ensure clean lifecycle data flow between Shopify, CRM, Klaviyo, and analytics
Improve and optimize our custom shopify theme in collaboration with designers and growth team.
Revenue Systems, Subscriptions & Patient Hubs

Architect and optimize subscription infrastructure (e.g., SKIO or similar platforms)
Improve bundling, upsell, and post-purchase revenue workflows
Build and maintain patient portals and privacy-compliant (HIPAA) customer hubs for orders, subscriptions, bloodwork, and medical data
Extend third-party tools using APIs, webhooks, and event-driven integrations
Systems, Integrations & Architecture

Design and maintain integrations across Shopify, WordPress, CRM, analytics, and operational systems
Build lightweight internal tools and modular, event-driven workflows
Support sister brand development on WordPress/WooCommerce
Own system reliability and debugging across frontend, backend, and infrastructure
AI-First Execution with strong Coding Fundamentals

Use AI daily to accelerate engineering, debugging, and system design
Build automation and internal tools that increase leverage across the organization
RequirementsShopify & Ecommerce (Required)

Strong hands-on experience building and scaling Shopify stores for U.S. DTC brands
Proven experience implementing CRO initiatives: landing pages, quiz funnels, upsells, bundles, subscriptions, post-purchase flows
Experience with subscription apps (e.g., SKIO), bundling, referral/review apps, Shopify Flow, and Shopify APIs
Demonstrated ability to improve performance, speed, and conversion through technical implementation
If you do not have meaningful Shopify experience for a U.S. consumer brand, this role is not a fit.

Engineering Foundations (Critical)

Strong grasp of coding logic and core software engineering principles
Deep understanding of object-oriented programming concepts
Experience working with event-driven systems and webhook-based architectures
Comfortable designing CRUD-based applications and modular systems
Confident using Git in collaborative environments
Adaptable and capable of learning new stacks quickly
Our architecture is evolving toward object-based and event-driven systems. You must understand these paradigms at a foundational level.

Integrations & Infrastructure

Experience integrating Shopify with CRM systems (e.g., GoHighLevel, Klaviyo) and working within CRM systems (automations, flows etc.)
Comfortable working with APIs, webhooks, and third-party integrations
Experience building lightweight web applications or customer portals; part of scope will be to build a pharmacy integration.
VPS/server experience including deployment, environment configuration, domain setup, and performance optimization
Debugging & Systems Thinking (Critical)

Strong debugging skills across frontend, backend, APIs, and infrastructure
Ability to trace root causes quickly and resolve issues precisely
Clear systems thinking and architectural awareness
Calm, structured problem-solving under pressure
When something breaks, you diagnose it quickly and fix it properly.
