This role is responsible for leading complex, end-to-end data platform initiatives-including data warehouse, data lake, and lake house implementations-while serving as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings deep project leadership experience, strong data architecture fluency, and the ability to drive results across scope, budget, resourcing, and risk in a consulting environment. Key Responsibilities Client & Engagement Leadership Serve as the primary engagement lead for large, complex data management and analytics programs Build and maintain strong relationships with executive and senior client stakeholders Translate business objectives into executable data platform roadmaps and delivery plans Act as a trusted advisor, guiding clients through strategic and operational decisions related to enterprise data platforms Project & Program Management Lead all aspects of project delivery, including scope, schedule, budget, resourcing, and risk management Develop and manage integrated project plans across business, technical, and vendor workstreams Proactively identify, mitigate, and escalate risks and issues to ensure successful delivery Oversee financial performance of engagements, including forecasting, margin management, and change control Data Platform Delivery Manage full lifecycle implementations of data warehouses, data lakes, and/or lakehouse architectures, from strategy and design through build, testing, and deployment Collaborate with data architects, engineers, and analytics teams to ensure solutions align with best practices and client requirements Ensure strong data governance, data quality, security, and compliance considerations are incorporated into delivery People & Practice Leadership Lead, mentor, and develop consulting teams across multiple engagements Support staffing, performance management, and career development for project team members Contribute to practice growth through thought leadership, solution development, and business development activities Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred 10+ years of consulting or industry experience with progressive responsibility in data management, analytics, or technology delivery Proven experience managing enterprise-scale data warehouse, data lake, or lakehouse projects Demonstrated success managing client stakeholders, project budgets, scope, resourcing, and delivery risks Strong understanding of modern data architectures, integration patterns, and analytics ecosystems Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced consulting environment Ability to travel up to 50% Preferred Qualifications Experience with Microsoft technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Fabric, SQL Server, Power BI, or related tools Experience serving higher education clients (e.g., universities, systems, research institutions) Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and modern analytics operating models Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, SAFe, Agile) a plus Why Huron At Huron, you'll work with mission-driven clients, solve complex data challenges, and help organizations unlock the full value of their information assets.
