Who we are
Texture is building the developer platform and infrastructure to democratize energy data and build the first true data network in the energy space.

When we pull this off, we will significantly reduce the price volatility in the energy markets while enabling and powering our transition to cleaner sources of energy.

Founded by 3 experienced founders who have collectively brought 5 startups to unicorn valuations (one of them together), Texture is well funded and ready to push the envelope.

What you’ll do
Working closely with our Chief Technology Officer, you will help build the foundation for our platform.

At the start, we will be integrating with and building a platform for devices that supply or use energy which developers can build upon and streaming all of their data in ways that developers can utilize.

Texture is just getting off the ground so it is currently a clean empty canvas. Your job is to help fill that canvas with everything we need to achieve this dream including the architecture, data schemas, and systems.

Who we are looking for
You enjoy being a generalist and are able to work on both the frontend, backend, and anything else we need to build the platform to delight developers
You are able to operate independently without much oversight
You are able to work across a wide variety of technologies and systems and stitch them together to solve problems and make magic
You have tons of experience using developer platforms so you can help us build our own to be best-in-class
You independently research and stay up-to-date with new technologies and engineering methods
You love solving interesting problems
What you’ve done
At least 5 years of experience in engineering working across the stack
Strong technical expertise in the relevant field
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience with project management tools and methodologies
Bonus for experience operating in a startup environment

Salary
$165,000 - $180,000 per year
