Job Description: About the job Backend Engineer (Python)
We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with strong Python expertise and solid system design fundamentals to join our team. This role requires an experienced engineer (3+ years) who can architect scalable systems, write clean and maintainable code, and move from idea to production with speed and ownership.



Full-Time | Remote



Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs that power the platform.
Own features end-to-end — from system design and implementation to deployment and monitoring.
Make architectural decisions that balance development velocity with long-term scalability and reliability.
Write clean, testable, well-documented code following engineering best practices.
Collaborate closely with frontend engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers when needed.
Contribute to engineering standards, tooling, and continuous improvement of backend practices.


Key Requirements
3+ years of backend development experience, with Python as your primary language.
Strong experience with modern Python web frameworks (FastAPI, Django, or Flask).
Proficiency with relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, Redis, etc.) and data modeling.
Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL.
Comfortable working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Solid understanding of system design, scalability, and performance optimization.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and monitoring tools.


Nice to Have
Logistics / trucking / fleet management experience (TMS, ELD, invoicing/factoring, IFTA, payroll)
Experience with microservices architecture.
Background in distributed systems or data-intensive applications.
Contributions to open-source projects.
Previous startup experience.
