Break Sports is a mission-driven sports booking platform dedicated to making recreational sports accessible for all. We give players a new way to find free-to-join clubs based on location, skill, level, and interest with the goal of connecting and building communities through sport. 



We are seeking an experienced remote Software Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of web applications - Node, Express, Koa, React, & Next.



Responsibilities:



Develop and maintain web applications using Node, Express, Koa, React, Next
Work on a variety of projects, from small bug fixes to large-scale features
Collaborate with other engineers and designers to implement new features
Review and improve existing code
Mentor and train junior engineers


Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience as a software engineer
Experience working with remote teams 
Strong understanding of javascript libraries and web applications
Experience with scheduling systems and/or payments a plus
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
US-based
Great spoken and written English
