React Native Engineer (Equity-Based) — Early Stage Startup | Vedoc

About Vedoc

Vedoc is building the future of roadside assistance, fast, fair, and frictionless.

We are creating an AI-powered platform that connects drivers to trusted service providers while also building our own in-house roadside network. Our goal is simple: help people when they actually need it without the wait, confusion, or overpricing.

We have already

Launched initial product iterations
Built a working backend infrastructure
Assembled a strong team across backend, frontend, and product
Started forming partnerships locally in Houston
We are scaling the mobile experience and looking for the right engineer to help lead that effort.

The Role

We are looking for a React Native Engineer to help scale our iOS mobile app.

This is a founding-level, equity-based role, ideal for someone who wants real ownership, real impact, and the opportunity to shape the product from the ground up.

What You Will Work On

Rebuilding the Vedoc mobile app using React Native with an iOS-first focus
Integrating with our existing backend built on Ruby on Rails and PostgreSQL APIs
Building clean, scalable UI from Figma designs
Implementing real-time features such as service tracking, request flow, and notifications
Optimizing performance and ensuring a smooth user experience across devices
Collaborating directly with the founder and development team on product decisions
Tech Stack

Frontend: React Native, JavaScript or TypeScript
Backend: Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL
Infrastructure: AWS EC2, Nginx
Design: Figma
Architecture: Microservices
What We Are Looking For

Experience with React Native through production apps or strong personal projects
Solid understanding of mobile UI and UX principles
Experience working with APIs and asynchronous data flows
Ability to move quickly, take ownership, and build with minimal structure
A startup mindset and comfort with ambiguity and iteration
Preferred but not required

Experience launching apps on the App Store
Familiarity with real-time systems such as WebSockets or push notifications
Experience working with early-stage startups
