We are seeking a skilled professional to help drive our expanding data driven communications segment of business. Must be proficient with Quadient Inspire, Scaler, ICM, Interactive and Adobe Suite or similar systems. The desired candidate is detail oriented, a designer thinker, a quick learner, highly motivated and should embrace professional excellence.

The Quadient Software Engineer is responsible for the construction and architecture of customer communications workflows and templates. Using a variety of software programs and coding languages you will be responsible for programming, maintaining, supporting and documenting all multi-channel variable data print and digital programs, database functionality and print on demand programs according to customer specifications and the company’s needs. Perform all tasks necessary to enhance user experience and automation to the fullest extent of the available technology and build reuseable workflows and templates across data types and customers.

Responsibilities:

Setup from the ground up implementation, team and processes for document composition and automated document management using Quadient
Create standards and best practices for our customer communications
Work with current state Quadient installation and integrate into our downstream workflow systems
Provide Quadient training and documentation to team members as well as basic industry concepts and approaches
Reduce implementation time around text file redesigns for our customers
Ensure automation of mailings after setup
Consult with managers to determine the role of IT systems in an organization
Research emerging and other technologies to decide if installing them can increase the organization’s efficiency and effectiveness
Devise ways to add new functionality to existing systems
Design and implement new workflows
Oversee the installation of new workflows to customize them for the organization
Conduct testing to ensure that the systems work as expected
Prioritize work in accordance with Production schedules
Continuous Improvement focus a must
Requirements:

BA or BS in statistics, math, computer science, physics or other technical related field
Experience in at least one or more languages: R, Python, C#, .Net, Javascript
Experience writing TSQL, views, stored procedures, functions and triggers
Experience with SQL Server
Excellent presentation, writing, and Excel skills are a must
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, balancing the needs of multiple concurrent projects under tight deadlines
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Passionate about data and analyzing business needs
Understanding of scripts/macros needed to make tasks easier and automate processes
Experience with GMC Quadient Inspire Software
Strong understanding of omni channel communication solutions as well as industry concepts and approaches
