Overview

Hands-on QA Engineer to build and lead our Quality Assurance function from the ground up.

This role is ideal for someone who has created QA processes, tools, and teams from scratch and is excited to shape how quality is defined across a growing platform of web and mobile applications.

You’ll work closely with product, engineering, and leadership to ensure high-quality releases, scalable testing systems, and efficient development workflows.

What You’ll Do

Establish and own the QA department, processes, and standards
Design and implement test strategies across multiple applications (web + mobile)
Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and QA documentation
Build and manage automation frameworks for regression and critical flows
Implement bug tracking, triage, and reporting workflows
Partner with engineering to integrate QA into CI/CD pipelines
Define release quality gates and acceptance criteria
Evaluate and implement modern QA tools (AI-assisted testing, automation, etc.)
Set up intake processes, QA workflows, and testing environments
Perform hands-on testing when needed (manual + automated)
Must-Have Skills

Experience building or scaling a QA function from scratch
Strong experience with test planning, test case design, and QA processes
Experience with automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress)
Experience testing web applications and APIs
Familiarity with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Linear)
Understanding of Agile/Scrum development workflows
Ability to define and enforce quality standards across teams
Strong communication — able to work across product, engineering, and leadership
