Pay $50,000 - $54,000 a month Job type Full-time   Full job description Role Description: The Production Support Engineer will function under the Product Team to manage code releases & deployments to AWS cloud platforms, monitor platform health and provide L2 production support. Work closely with IT Product's DevOps engineer teams and Service Managers to the platform's release management, production stability and suitable technical performance. This person will be responsible for monitoring Production performance, SW issues detection and resolution and manage overall Production SLAs compliance. Education & Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree Conversational/Advanced English skills is a MUST 3+ years’ experience with back end programming languages (Java, C++ and/or C#, etc.) 2+ years’ experience with AWS/Azure or Google Cloud deployment environments Previous experience in the banking/financial industry is ideal, but experience in regulated industries work as well. Previous work with IAM, CloudWatch, Kubernetes and/or any deployment release experience. Previous experience with Fiserv products is a huge plus Implementation, integration and enhancement experience of 3rd party APIs Must be able to run Native React mobile (IOS & Android) applications hosted in AWS Experience with Relational SQL and NoSQL databases is a must Demonstrable working experience delivering digital solutions such as web and/or apps Strong knowledge of cloud environments, system automation, deploying and maintaining applications and software accordingly Experience in browser development, testing and debugging Strong knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD and continuous support engineering concepts Job Duties: Support the implementation of the solutions that DevOps Engineers design and enable build of automated deployments and code release processes implementing specific automation tasks. Own and manage the daily administration and support activities for one or several web applications while providing Level-2 support (diagnosis, fixing) to outstanding runtime defects. Work with IT Product teams to deploy newer version of software in Cloud resources while implementing changes within AWS platform (i.e. deploy new modules and perform system upgrades and complete fixes within the production environment). Create and maintaining scripts to spin up and spin down instances required for application on demand while ensuring operations follow security compliances (passwords, key rotation policies). Provide compute and storage services support during deployment and general production. Collaborate with DevOps teams to make sure new environments meet requirements and conform to best practices in addition to creating various types of alerts that monitor systems health and report any issues if they occur resolving issues or escalating to the right person. Enable rightsizing and cost optimization by tagging and monitoring the running instances and anything that is not required to run. Work with Release Manager to own the release of new software to production and for regular scheduled patching and updates of software and platform components.
