Job Summary

We are seeking a Power Systems Application Engineer – Transmission with strong experience in Energy Management Systems (EMS), SCADA, and Transmission power applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in developing, customizing, and implementing power system applications for electric utilities along with strong programming expertise in C++, Java, and SQL/Oracle.

Candidates should be comfortable working on real-time mission-critical grid systems, supporting deployments, troubleshooting production issues, and collaborating with clients on technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, customize, and deploy Energy Management Systems (EMS) solutions for electric power utilities.
Work on Transmission power system applications such as load flow, contingency analysis, and power factor calculations.
Implement and support Transmission EMS and SCADA systems.
Develop applications using C++, Java, and SQL/Oracle databases.
Perform installation of fixes, debugging, and troubleshooting on live customer environments.
Work with Linux and Windows operating systems, including shell scripting and log analysis.
Support real-time or mission-critical systems used in power grid operations.
Collaborate with clients for technical discussions, troubleshooting, and solution delivery.
Required Skills

Experience working with Power Systems Transmission Applications (Load Flow, Contingency Analysis, Power Factor).
Strong programming skills in C++ and Java.
Experience with SQL / Oracle databases.
Experience with Energy Management Systems (EMS) and Transmission EMS implementations.
Hands-on experience with SCADA, Grid systems, and Power Distribution Management Systems (DMS).
Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
Experience working on Linux and Windows environments.
Preferred / Desirable Skills

5+ years of experience developing and customizing Energy Management Systems for electric utilities.
Experience with AEMS / EMS product design and development.
Knowledge of SCADA, DMS, and Transmission EMS implementations.
Strong Object-Oriented Programming (OOPS) expertise in C++ or Full Stack Java.
Experience supporting real-time or mission-critical systems.
Ability to analyze logs, debug issues, and install patches on production systems.
