Our Digital Products team is modernizing a large and complex technology ecosystem—moving from legacy on‑premise .NET and Windows‑centric platforms to cloud‑native and hybrid architectures designed for scale, resilience, and agility.  As a Platform Engineer II, you will play a critical role in this transformation. You will lead the design and delivery of modern cloud and hybrid solutions, partner closely with architects and application teams, and help evolve legacy workloads into secure, automated, and observable platforms—without being constrained by traditional Windows Server assumptions.  This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys modernization challenges, values clean architecture and automation, and wants real ownership over how enterprise platforms evolve.  HOW YOU WILL CREATE THE EXTRAORDINARY Lead and influence cloud architecture decisions for new platforms and modernization initiatives, with a focus on AWS and hybrid cloud patterns.  Design and deliver cloud‑native and hybrid solutions that support the migration of legacy on‑prem .NET systems to modern, containerized, serverless, or Linux‑based runtimes.  Own Infrastructure as Code (IaC) implementations and automation strategies to ensure repeatable, secure, and scalable environments.  Build and operate production‑grade cloud services, emphasizing reliability, performance, security, and cost efficiency.  Partner with application teams to modernize CI/CD pipelines, deployment strategies, and runtime architectures.  Drive serverless‑first and platform engineering best practices, mentoring engineers and raising the overall cloud maturity of the organization.  Define and document reference architectures, operational patterns, and platform standards.  Support operational excellence, including incident response, root cause analysis, and participation in a rotating on‑call schedule.  Champion change, incident, and problem management practices within a DevOps/SRE‑aligned operating model.  Collaborate across infrastructure, networking, security, and vendor teams to ensure compliant, well‑designed application architectures.  Design and support business continuity and disaster recovery strategies aligned to enterprise availability and resilience goals.  Proactively address security and compliance concerns, ensuring platforms are hardened against evolving cybersecurity threats.  WHAT YOU WILL NEED 5+ years of hands‑on cloud engineering experience, primarily with AWS.  Strong experience designing and operating serverless, container‑based, or event‑driven architectures.  Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, and automated cloud environments.  Practical experience modernizing or supporting .NET applications in cloud or hybrid environments.  Comfort working in non‑Windows, Linux‑based, or containerized runtimes.  Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, and operational best practices.  Experience working in Agile / DevOps environments with cross‑functional teams.  Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and technical leadership skills.  Additional Relevant Qualifications Experience with observability platforms such as Dynatrace.  Exposure to React, React Native, .NET, and C# from a platform or enablement perspective.  Experience with Playwright or other end‑to‑end testing frameworks.  Experience authoring or consuming OpenAPI specifications.  Prior experience in large‑scale enterprise modernization efforts or platform re‑architecture initiatives.
