This is a remote position.

The Opportunity
Pentoz is engineering scalable digital products that work across platforms — and we need developers who think beyond native. As a PhoneGap Developer, you’ll lead the charge in building sleek, high-performance hybrid mobile apps using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and the power of PhoneGap/Cordova.

This is your chance to deliver powerful, lightweight, and cost-effective mobile experiences across Android and iOS, all from a single codebase.

You Will Be Responsible For
Hybrid App Development: Designing and developing cross-platform mobile applications using PhoneGap (Apache Cordova).

UI/UX Integration: Implementing responsive, user-friendly interfaces with modern HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks.

Plugin Management: Integrating and customizing native plugins to extend app functionality — including camera, GPS, push notifications, etc.

Performance Optimization: Ensuring fast load times, smooth animations, and efficient memory use on both Android and iOS.

API Integration: Connecting apps to backend services via REST APIs or Firebase.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working with product managers, designers, and QA to deliver polished, production-ready apps.

This Role Is For You If
You have 2–5+ years of experience developing cross-platform mobile apps using PhoneGap or Cordova.

You’re skilled in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and mobile UI frameworks like jQuery Mobile, Bootstrap, or Framework7.

You understand the limitations and strengths of hybrid mobile platforms.

You can debug mobile issues across platforms and devices.

You’re self-driven, agile, and thrive in fast-paced environments.

Bonus Points If You Have
Experience with AngularJS, ReactJS, or Vue.js

Familiarity with building and publishing apps to the Play Store and App Store

Knowledge of native Android/iOS development (Java/Kotlin or Swift)

Worked with Firebase, SQLite, or other mobile backend tools

Experience with transitioning PhoneGap apps to modern hybrid tools (like Ionic or Flutter)
