HX5 is currently seeking an Apex Oracle Developer to support the Corporate Management Information Systems (MIS) Department.  The Oracle APEX Developer designs, builds, and maintains scalable database applications using Oracle APEX and advanced SQL/PL/SQL. The role supports data integration, reporting, and performance optimization while delivering intuitive, business‑focused solutions throughout the full development lifecycle. Candidates must excel in Oracle APEX development, demonstrate leadership in gathering requirements and defining solutions, and possess strong debugging and problem-solving skills for application support. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and maintain applications and reports using Oracle APEX, JavaScript, CSS, and PL/SQL. Design scalable system solutions based on business needs and existing architecture. Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle: requirements gathering, specifications development, design, testing, implementation, and maintenance. Manage requirements intake and collaborate with cross functional groups to define solutions. Perform data migration and conversion using SQL and shell scripting. Validate data integrity and identify opportunities to enhance reporting and automate processes. Provide technical support, training, and mentoring to users and staff. Ensure systems are secure, reliable, scalable, and well documented. Collaborate across departments to address operational and reporting needs. Perform additional duties as assigned. Salary: This position is expected to pay $55,000 - $105,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position. Required Qualifications: High school diploma and at least six (6) years of related experience and/or training. Experience and proficiency with Oracle APEX development, SQL, PL/SQL, and database management. Proven ability to create dynamic reports and dashboards using Oracle APEX tools. Advanced knowledge of database optimization techniques and performance tuning. Familiarity with ETL tools and data services. Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities. Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead requirement-gathering sessions and define solutions. Ability to work independently and in team settings, adapting to changing priorities. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. 8–10 years of experience in Oracle APEX development, SQL, PL/SQL, and database management. Experience integrating Oracle applications with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. Experience working directly with the corporate departments to meet the database reporting needs. Oracle certification is a plus.  Other Position Requirements: Must be able to complete a background investigation.
