Job Description: Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Network Platform Engineer to design, implement, and maintain complex network infrastructure across diverse environments. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in computer networking, network security, and system administration, with a focus on ensuring high availability, security, and optimal performance of enterprise network systems. This role involves working with cutting-edge technologies including WAN, LAN, SDLC, cloud security, virtualization, and network management tools to support organizational IT objectives and infrastructure resilience.

Duties

Design, deploy, and support enterprise network architectures including LAN, WAN, MPLS, VPNs, and SD-WAN solutions.
Configure and manage network devices such as Cisco routers, Cisco ASA firewalls, Juniper devices, Meraki switches and access points.
Implement and maintain network security protocols including Cisco ISE for authentication, PKI for encryption, IDS/IPS systems for threat detection, and advanced firewall configurations.
Administer data center networks involving SAN storage solutions (e.g., Oracle SAN), VMware vSphere environments, and cloud platforms like AWS and Azure.
Perform network monitoring using SolarWinds, PRTG, Splunk, and other tools to ensure high availability and performance.
Conduct vulnerability assessments and implement remediation strategies to safeguard against cyber threats.
Automate network operations using scripting languages such as Python, Bash (Unix shell), PowerShell, and configuration management tools like Ansible.
Manage remote access solutions including SSH, SFTP, VPNs (IPsec), SSL/TLS encryption protocols for secure connectivity.
Support network installation projects involving TCP/IP configuration, DNS/DHCP management, load balancing solutions, and network architecture planning.
Collaborate within Agile teams to support DevOps initiatives integrating network support into continuous development cycles.
Maintain documentation of network configurations using GPOs and LDAP directories; perform regular system administration tasks on Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS/Red Hat) and UNIX-based systems (Solaris/BSD).
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field; relevant certifications such as CCNP/CCIE are highly preferred.
Proven experience with enterprise-grade networking including Cisco IOS/ASA/Meraki devices; Juniper experience is a plus.
Strong knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF/EIGRP/BGP/MPLS), switching technologies (Ethernet), and IP networking fundamentals.
Expertise in network security practices including SSO integration, encryption standards (SSL/TLS), VPN setup (IPsec), and vulnerability assessment techniques.
Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere/vCenter or Citrix; familiarity with cloud services like AWS or Azure is desirable.
Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation; experience with Ansible or similar tools is advantageous.
Familiarity with operating systems including Windows Server environments as well as Linux distributions (Debian/Ubuntu/CentOS).
Knowledge of ITIL best practices for IT service management; ability to work within an SDLC framework is essential.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues efficiently.
