In this role, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and overseeing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within various projects. Responsibilities Develop comprehensive mechanical, electrical, and plumbing system designs using CAD software. Conduct system design analysis utilizing MATLAB, Simulink, LabVIEW, and FEA techniques to optimize performance and reliability. Perform root cause analysis on system failures or inefficiencies to implement corrective actions that enhance system integrity. Prepare project schedules and coordinate timelines to ensure timely delivery of design milestones and project completion. Apply knowledge of ASME codes & standards, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and other relevant industry standards to ensure compliance across all designs. Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs), Arduino platforms, and system design principles for automation and control solutions within mechanical systems. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to develop mechanical designs compatible with CNC machining, 3D printing, or other fabrication processes. Review technical schematics, drawings, and CAD models for accuracy; perform drafting updates as needed. Engage in manufacturing process improvements by integrating FEA simulations and CAD-based analyses to enhance product performance. Support project scheduling by tracking progress, identifying potential delays early, and implementing corrective measures proactively. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; advanced certifications in CAD (SolidWorks, Creo) are preferred. Proven experience with mechanical design, system modeling, and drafting using CAD tools such as SolidWorks or Creo. Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and material science. Familiarity with industry standards such as ASME codes & standards for pressure vessels, piping systems, or mechanical components. Experience with system design software like MATLAB/Simulink or LabVIEW for simulation and control applications. Knowledge of manufacturing processes including CNC machining and additive manufacturing techniques. Ability to perform root cause analysis using data-driven approaches; experience with FEA software is a plus. Proficiency in project scheduling tools and methodologies to manage multiple tasks effectively. Excellent communication skills for collaborating across multidisciplinary teams; detail-oriented with strong drafting capabilities.
